Diary entry three

Dear diary,

The broker came back with a mortgage for me to consider today! It took a little longer than I was expecting as there are only some lenders who offer Shared Ownership mortgages.

I’d encourage other first-time buyers to also use a mortgage broker, particularly with Shared Ownership, as the brokers are more likely to be able to secure the best rates.

I now need to give evidence of my income, savings and any debts or finance I have to the mortgage broker through an online portal, to confirm my eligibility for Shared Ownership. Getting all the documents together means that I’m ready to submit my application when a suitable property in the right area near my mum becomes available.
